Myself and one of my agents attended your follow the money class at rcta in September.  I just wanted to let you know how beneficial the class was to our agency. We recently concluded a financial investigation into one of our high level cocaine traffickers and made two arrest for money laundering seized 3 luxury vehicles and froze one bank account pending seizure. The two suspects arrested are being held on $500,000 bond.  We also located several more accounts and our investigation is still ongoing.  We also have another case into a very high level cocaine trafficker.  We have subpoenaed numerous bank account and possibly 4 arrest will be made for money laundering.  Again thanks for the training and I hope to send more of my agents to your class in the near future.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for presenting your class this week at RCTA.  The class was outstanding and absolutely worth our 9 hour drive from Charleston, SC.  We have already set up a meeting with two of our prosecutors and the rest of our investigative unit to debrief the training and figure out how to specifically apply the techniques you introduced here in Charleston County.

On an interesting side note, when I rolled into the office this morning, I observed a 2007 Toyota Forerunner sitting in our front parking lot.  This particular vehicle was seized, along with a house full of other merchandise; during a case we worked a year and a half ago.  The suspect, a 23 year old who claimed to own a sandwich shop, was charged with trafficking marijuana and was found to be in possession of 18 lbs of weed when we executed a drug search warrant at his house.  Earlier this year, he pled guilty and was sentenced to 6 years in prison.  The problem is, his parents were at our office this morning with a U-haul truck to load up all of his possessions that we had seized.  Somewhere along the line, the lawyers worked out some sort of arrangement and we agreed to return his property!!

You can imagine my surprise upon my return from your class.  Apparently, we have been seizing property based on some civil statute involving proceeds from illegal activity and our attorneys always negotiate deals with the property.  Hopefully, with the knowledge and understanding gained during your instruction, we can reverse this annoying and demoralizing trend.  Thanks again for your insight and I’ll keep ya posted.  Don’t hesitate to contact me if you ever need anything in Charleston.

In over 30 years of law enforcement and related training, I have never attended a better class and one which was so informative.

Massachusetts Police Chief.

Excellent training. Great presentation. Glad I attended. Definite need for this course.

White collar crime / financial crimes / accounting are usually very dry and boring; the instructors made the tracing of money enjoyable and interesting.

The course was both enjoyable and informative; the instructors were dynamite.

I felt the instructors were very knowledgeable and put the right amount of humor, etc. into the lessons to keep it flowing; excellent presentations in method and theory. Thank you!

I just wanted to send a personal note to thank you for the excellent class. It was obviously well thought out, informative, interesting and very educating. It is not often we have the opportunity to take such classes.
